Journey from the olive tree soaked North, to the Red Sea in the South, winding through the mountains and stark crusader towns of Karak and the iconic Dead Sea.

Day 1. Arrival day
Airport transfer to hotel in Amman.
Meeting with Tour Leader regarding trip detail.
Overnight in Amman.
Day 2. Amman and Jerash sightseeing
After breakfast we will have a half day excursion to visit Amman Citadel, amphitheatre and Museum.
After lunch in a local restaurant we will transfer to Jerash where we will have a guided tour of one of the best preserved Roman sites in the Middle East and one of the ancient Decapolis.
Free evening in Amman where we will stay overnight.
Day 3. Travel the Kings Highway to Petra
After breakfast we will drive to Madaba and visit an ancient mosaic map of the Middle East discovered underneath the floor of St George’s Church.
We will then set off along the King’s Highway – an ancient trading route. Along the way we will visit Mt. Nebo, believed to be the burial site of Moses and the view over the Promised Land – On a good day you can see the Walls of Jericho in the distance.
We will continue to Karak Castle and have a chance to explore this Crusader Castle perched high on the hill of Karak town. After a light lunch we will continue to Petra, with a few excellent photo stops along the way.
Free evening with possibility to visit Petra by Night.
Overnight in Wadi Musa
Day 4. Petra visit
An early start to beat the crowds, we will have a half day guided tour of Petra.
The guide will enlighten you on the ingenuity of the Nabatean people in the creation of this fascinating wonder of the world.
You will then have a free afternoon to hike the 800 steps to the Monastery, explore further or just relax and absorb the site.
Free evening with possibility of a visit Petra by Night.
Overnight in Wadi Musa
Day 5. Afternoon in Wadi Rum and camp in the desert
For the energetic, we will have an early visit to Petra to climb Khubtha Mountain and view the Treasury from above.
After leaving Petra, we will have a lunchtime transfer to Wadi Rum. Here we will have a 3 hour jeep tour to explore this stunning desert landscape.
We will see carvings made by ancient traders on their caravan routes, a rock cut bridge and deep canyons.
We will then transfer to the camp to have a traditional bedouin dinner, before relaxing for the evening to enjoy the tranquility and the star-studded sky.
Overnight camping in Wadi Rum
Day 6. Visit to Aqaba
After breakfast we will take the short drive to Aqaba, a coastal resort set on the Red Sea.
You will have a free afternoon here with the option of diving or snorkelling in the Red Sea, one of the most spectacular dive spots in the world. Alternatively, relax and enjoy the sunshine or visit the souks for some last minute souvenir shopping.
Overnight in Aqaba.
Day 7. Visit to the Dead Sea and transfer to Amma
After breakfast we will set off back to Amman – En route we will stop at the Dead Sea where we will spend around 3 hours giving you the chance to experience floating in the Dead Sea at the lowest point on the World.
We will continue to drive back to Amman for your last evening in Jordan.
Overnight in Amman
Day 8. Departure Day
Transfer back to Amman airport for your flight home.
